Portable music players you can take with you wherever you go even while you’re jogging. Answering emails or having conference calls in the convenience of your phone which means you can take your work with you without having to be tied down in the 4 corners of your office. Go live on Facebook for your followers and friends to keep up with what you are up to in real time. Looking at what we can do now makes us realize that the possibilities are endless and there is so much to look forward to.

One of the best tech gadgets that have significantly added benefits to everyone of all ages, (yes, including kids), is the emergence of tablets. It was the time when everyone seemed to have tablets, including children.

What is a Tablet?

A tablet or tablet PC is a portable PC which is a hybrid between a notebook PC and a personal digital assistant (PDA). It features a touch screen interface and a virtual keyboard. Other tablets also support external keyboards.

Tablets are notable for their web-browsing ability, HD support and multiple connectivity options. With it, you can take pictures and videos, log in to your social media accounts, browse the internet, answer or create emails, listen to music, watch movies or videos, draw and write, and pretty much almost anything you can do with your laptop or computer.

They range from 7 to 10 inches and some of them even run on x86 CPU while others on ARM processors. Tablets popularity rose when Apple launched the iPad.

Currently, there are two most popular operating systems for tablets and these are iOS and Android. For iOS, you get Apple iPad, Apple iPad 2, Apple iPad Mini and more Apple tablets. With Android tablets, the best tablets in 2017 are Google Pixel C, Sony Xperia Z4 tablet, Lenovo Yoga Tab 3, Amazon Fire HD 10, and Samsung Galaxy Tab 4.

Now that we have established what tablets are and how similar they can get with the computer,  we will move on and review one of the most popular tablets available today – Samsung Galaxy Tab 4.

Note: there are two variations of the Samsung Galaxy Tab 4, the 7.0 which refers to the 7-inch display and 10.0 which has a 10-inch display.
